The coronavirus pandemic unsettled the legal profession this year, but companies, universities, and other entities hired plenty of lawyers.
Many companies with a connection to the health care industry, such as life sciences, pharmaceuticals, and technology, saw an uptick in recruitment, said Sheri Michaels, a partner at the legal search and consulting firm Major, Lindsey & Africa.
