BuzzFeed Inc.'s chief legal officer Rhonda Powell will step down Jan. 2 after the company successfully fought employee challenges over its turbulent initial public offering last year.

David Arroyo, BuzzFeed’s chief compliance officer and head of litigation, will replace Powell, the media company disclosed in a Monday securities filing. BuzzFeed hired Arroyo in 2019 after he spent 14 years at Scripps Networks Interactive Inc.
