David Forde joined Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney as a principal in its government relations section in Philadelphia, the firm announced Wednesday.

Forde served as vice president of external affairs for Philadelphia Gas Works, where he advocated for the natural gas utility and the value it brings to the Greater Philadelphia market. He also served as vice president for community and government affairs at the University of the Sciences, where he led initiatives that enhanced community engagement, secured legislative victories, and strengthened institutional reputation, the firm said.

He joins from Philadelphia Gas Works.
