Bristow Group Turns Over Files to Escape Suit Over Era Merger

A Bristow Group Inc. investor has dropped its Delaware records lawsuit over the company’s merger with another provider of industrial helicopter services, Era Group Inc., after Bristow turned over some files out of court.

Vice Chancellor Paul A. Fioravanti Jr. canceled a scheduled trial and indicated he would close the case, a week after Bristow and Funicular Fund LP said in a joint Delaware Chancery Court filing that Funicular planned to drop the suit and give up the right to refile it.

Fioravanti’s order indicated that Funicular, a hedge fund, had “received document production.”
