Derek Young joined Bracewell as a partner in its tax department in New York, the firm announced Monday.
Young advises clients on state and local tax implications of business changes and corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, financings, sales, and restructurings. He represents companies in energy and other industries on major state and local tax issues such as sales and use, gross receipts, income, franchise, withholding, unemployment, property, and excise taxes, the firm said.
He joins from Baker Botts.
