Affirmative-action foe Edward Blum is threatening three more law firms with lawsuits over their diversity fellowship programs.
Blum’s American Alliance for Equal Rights this week sent letters to Winston & Strawn, Hunton Andrews & Kurth, and Adams and Reese, raising questions about the eligibility requirements for the firms’ law student diversity fellowship programs. The programs appear to violate federal law by excluding certain participants based on race, the group said.
“To avoid litigation, the Alliance hopes these law firms will immediately modify their programs to bring them into compliance with our nation’s civil rights laws,” Blum said Thursday via email. ...
