Union Square Hospitality Group LLC, a company founded by Manhattan restaurateur Danny Meyer, has a new top lawyer to go along with a new chief executive.
Elizabeth Huh was recently promoted to general counsel for the privately held company, which owns restaurants like Blue Smoke, Ci Siamo, the Gramercy Tavern, and the Union Square Café.
She replaces Avisheh Avini, chief legal officer at USHG since 2016, who left the company last year. Avini’s official exit came a few months after Meyer stepped down from his role as chief executive of the company he founded nearly four decades ago.
