Benjamin Moore Hires New Lead Counsel After Axing Legal Staff

Benjamin Moore & Co. has hired Jennifer O’Neill in a lead counsel role nearly a year after firing its entire in-house legal team and outsourcing the work to the labor and employment-focused law firm Littler Mendelson.

Jennifer O’Neill, a former general counsel at a health care company who went on to work for Phillips Nizer in Hackensack, N.J., joined Benjamin Moore this month as lead counsel, according to her LinkedIn profile. Her move comes a month after Montvale, N.J.-based Benjamin Moore posted an online job listing for the role.
