Bayer’s $39 Million Roundup Deal Shorts Consumers, States Say (1)

Eleven Republican state attorneys general have filed a friend of the court brief urging the Eighth Circuit to reconsider its June decision signing off on Bayer’s $39 million Roundup settlement.

“Class action settlements like this one—where less than 30% of the funds accrue to injured class members—fail to adequately compensate those class members,” the states argue.

The brief, filed Thursday, supports a settlement objector’s petition for rehearing by the full US Court of Appeals for Eighth Circuit.
