Baseball, Football Union Work Brings in Cash for Big Law Firms

Professional sports in the U.S. may be on hiatus as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, but Winston & Strawn, Latham & Watkins, and Weil, Gotshal & Manges were still big winners when it came to legal work for baseball and football players.

Winston, a firm known for its sports industry expertise, received roughly $3.3 million combined from the the National Football League Players Association and Major League Baseball Players Association, according to disclosures made public this week.
