Barnes & Thornburg Gains Litigation Partner Essig in Chicago

William Essig has joined Barnes & Thornburg as a partner in the litigation department in Chicago, the firm said Tuesday.

Essig defends pharmaceutical and medical device companies in mass tort and product liability litigation, according to Barnes & Thornburg. He focuses on matters involving strict liability, negligence, and wrongful death involving medical devices as well as over the counter and prescription drugs.

He also represents clients in consumer fraud and other consumer class action litigation, Barnes & Thornburg said.
