BakerHostetler Adds Four Corporate Partners From Loeb & Loeb

Oct. 16, 2025, 9:00 AM UTC

BakerHostetler picked up four mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and debt finance partners in its New York office to widen the firm’s middle market reach, the firm said Thursday.

The partners—Andrew Arsiotis, Joshua Saidlower, Henry Zangara, and Steve Rockoff—left Loeb & Loeb after less than two years at the firm.

“We are doubling down on private equity and M&A, and have a great bench both in the corporate area and in the areas around the firm that service M&A,” Steven Goldberg, who leads BakerHostetler’s M&A team, said in an interview.

Middle market transactions, which benefit from less scrutiny and red tape, remain strong despite market pressures from tariffs and a transition into a new administration earlier into the year.

The firm is optimistic about the M&A market, particularly because of factors including a “shift in antitrust enforcement and government oversight, the broadening of financing options, interest rate cuts, and a lot of inbound work” driven by players looking to take advantage of currency exchange rates, said Goldberg.

Firm leaders also expect momentum on sponsor-led private equity transactions in the upcoming months.

“We have a number of sponsor-led exits that are currently in the market and will close before the end of the year,” said John Allotta, chair of BakerHostetler’s business group.

The has more than 1,000 lawyers across six core practice groups. BakerHostetler reported more than $1 billion in gross revenue in 2024, according to Bloomberg Law data, with profits per equity partner topping $2.2 million.

The new hires rejoin M&A partner Salomon Sassoon who moved to BakerHostetler from Morrison Cohen shortly before the group departed for Loeb.

“It’s a real testament to our platform that these folks are coming over and following him now,” said Goldberg.
