Baker McKenzie Adds Senior IRS Attorney to Chicago Tax Practice

Doug Wick has joined Baker McKenzie as a partner in its tax practice in Chicago, the firm announced Monday.

Wick’s practice at the IRS focused on complex US Tax Court cases and advising on legal issues related to tax audits and FBAR penalties. In private practice, he represented clients in Illinois state and local tax litigation matters and defending clients in False Claims Act lawsuits, the firm said.

He joins from the IRS Office of Chief Counsel, where he was a senior attorney.
