Sydney Carey and Karyn Smith joined Avalara as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Legal Officer, respectively, the company announced Thursday.
Carey will be responsible for leading Avalara’s finance and accounting team and will work to modernize the company’s finance and accounting processes.
Smith will lead Avalara’s legal team, overseeing all legal matters related to its global operations and strategic business initiatives, the company said.
