Ascension Health Inc. and a group of former employees have agreed to end their proposed class action alleging the company fired them for refusing to get Covid-19 vaccines after their exemption requests were denied.
Lawyers for Ascension and the proposed class of about 80 members—comprised of nurses, doctors, pharmacists, physical therapists, interpreters, and chaplains—filed a joint stipulation of dismissal with prejudice as well as a proposed order on Wednesday with the US District Court for the Southern District of Indiana. Neither the stipulation nor the case docket indicates whether a settlement has been reached.
