Arizona Moves to Limit Law Firms Shipping Work to Other States

Law firms that want to use Arizona’s alternative business structure program solely to generate leads for lawyers in other states face possible new limits.

A committee helping to oversee the program recommended a rule Tuesday that requires firms to provide legal services—not to just make referrals. The panel also moved to require that firms devote at least part of their business to serving people in the state.
