Apple’s Outgoing Top Lawyer Adams Nets $27 Million Pay Package

Apple Inc. disclosed in a proxy filing late Thursday that its general counsel Katherine “Kate” Adams received more than $27 million in total compensation in her last full year at the consumer electronics giant.

Adams, who in recent years has been one of the highest-paid legal chiefs among US publicly traded companies, is poised to step down as of March 1. Jennifer Newstead, the top lawyer at Meta Platforms Inc., is slated to succeed Adams as legal chief.
