Apple Asks Court to Pause Order Poised to Upend US App Store (1)

Apple Inc. is seeking to delay a court order that requires the company to let App Store developers steer users to the web to purchase in-app items without paying a commission, reducing a lucrative source of revenue.

The company is appealing a federal judge’s ruling last week in its long-running fight with Fortnite maker Epic Games Inc. that the iPhone maker failed to comply with an order she issued in 2021 after finding it engaged in anticompetitive conduct in violation of California law.
