Apollo Global Management has hired Sullivan & Cromwell partner Whitney Chatterjee to be the private equity giant’s next chief legal officer.
Chatterjee will succeed longtime chief legal officer John Suydam starting next year, the company said Thursday in a statement. She will join Apollo next month, initially as general counsel, covering Apollo’s asset management and retirement services businesses.
Suydam, who has served in the role since 2006, will become senior advisor and remain an Apollo partner, the company said.
