Apollo Investor Sues Over Alleged Downplaying of Epstein Ties

Apollo Global Management Inc. and top executives for years hid a business relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein from investors, a proposed class action said.

Epstein frequently spoke with Apollo’s leadership in the 2010s about its affairs while the private equity firm placated investors that it didn’t do business with him, according to the complaint. And the harm to Apollo’s reputation was “more than a mere possibility” given Epstein’s entanglement, contradicting a corporate disclosure about hypothetical risks of general employee misconduct, an investor told the US District Court for the Southern District of New York Wednesday.
