AMC Networks’ Unit Sued for Sharing Video-Viewing Information

Anime video streamer Sentai Filmworks LLC disclosed the private video consumption habits of consumers without their consent to third parties in violation of federal and state privacy laws, a new proposed federal class action said.

Patrick James alleged that Sentai installed the Meta Platforms tracking pixel on its website, a snipped of computer code that transmitted to Facebook a record of every video he and class members watched on the site, along with the Facebook ID of visitors who were Facebook users.
