Amazon Worker Safety Court Fight to Continue, NY Top Lawyer Vows

The New York Attorney General’s Office is continuing its court fight to enforce state worker safety and labor regulations against Amazon.com Inc., Deputy Solicitor General Ester Murdukhayeva told a federal appeals court Tuesday.

At issue is whether the attorney general’s enforcement of state regulations protecting workers in two Amazon distribution centers on Staten Island from Covid-19 starting in 2020 was preempted by federal enforcement of OSHA and National Labor Relations Board rules and laws.
