Derek Steingarten joined Alston & Bird as a partner in its investment funds group in New York, the firm announced Monday.
Steingarten advises registered and private fund sponsors and institutional asset managers on investment products and business models. His practice covers fund formation, capital raising, marketing, governance, and regulatory compliance across hedge funds, private equity and credit funds, separately managed accounts, mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, interval funds, business development companies, and other registered vehicles, the firm said.
He previously was at Morrison Foerster, according to his LinkedIn profile.
