Erik Carlson has joined Alston & Bird’s intellectual property litigation group as a partner in its Los Angeles office, the firm said Thursday.
Carlson litigates patent cases in the high technology and medical device fields, and has experience litigating IP disputes for rights owners and defendants in US district courts, federal appellate courts, and the US Patent and Trademark Office, according to Alston.
He has handled patent jury trials involving complex tech, including spinal surgery systems and other medical devices, natural language processing and machine learning, cryptography, and cloud computing, the firm said.
