Allen & Overy managing partner Gareth Price has resigned from the global law firm ahead of its planned merger with Shearman & Sterling, A&O announced Thursday.
Price left the firm on July 10, according to senior partner Wim Dejonghe. A&O cited “personal reasons” for the exit.
As managing partner, Price had been responsible for the day-to-day running of the firm. Dejonghe, who has previously held that position, is taking on Price’s responsibilities for the time being, he said.
