Joshua La Vigne and Jessica Pan joined Akin Gump as partners in Chicago, the firm announced Tuesday.

La Vigne advises clients on mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and corporate governance matters, the firm said. He advises on transactions in infrastructure, financial services technology, automotive, consumer finance, commercial finance, chemicals, technology, and real estate.

Pan’s practice focuses on advising fund sponsors on the formation, marketing, management, and regulatory compliance of private investment funds, including real estate and private equity funds, the firm said.
