James Munsell has joined Akin Gump as a partner with the investment management practice in New York, the firm said Wednesday.
Munsell focuses on the formation and operation of hedge funds and other private funds, according to Akin. He provides advice on the formation and structuring of funds as well as counsels investment advisers and funds in connection with corporate, securities, derivatives, and regulatory matters.
He previously served as a partner at Sidley Austin.
