Gerald Moody has joined Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld as a white collar defense and government investigations partner in Washington, the firm said Tuesday.
As assistant chief of the Justice Department’s Foreign Corrupt Practices Act unit within its criminal division, Moody led or supervised more than 100 FCPA-related investigations, according to Akin.
He will advise clients on investigations from DOJ, the US Securities and Exchange Commission, and foreign authorities, and will add to the firm’s coordinated global capabilities across white collar defense and government investigations, international trade, and regulatory and policy practices, the firm said.
