Akin Hires Skye Smith as Abu Dhabi Investment Management Partner

Skye Smith joined Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld as a partner in its investment management practice in Abu Dhabi, the firm announced Monday.

Smith advises institutional investors, with a focus on sovereign wealth funds, on complex investments across private equity, venture capital, infrastructure, real estate, and hedge funds. She regularly counsels these clients on primary commitments, co-investments, continuation vehicles, funds-of-one, GP stakes, and other customized arrangements, the firm said.

She joins from DLA Piper.
