Shannon Thompson joined Akin as a partner in its investment management practice in Dallas, the firm announced Tuesday.
Thompson represents private equity and alternative asset managers in various aspects of fund formation, fundraising, governance, organizational structure, internal operations, and regulatory compliance, the firm said.
She joins from Kirkland & Ellis.
