Amy Wollensack and Sergio Urias have joined Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld as partners in the private equity practice in New York, the firm announced Monday.
The duo represents middle-market private equity funds in merger and acquisition transactions. Urias also represents investment funds and strategic clients in Latin America, according to the firm.
“We have been impressed by Akin Gump’s breadth of experience in the investment management industry and focused approach to growth,” Urias said. “I am also looking forward to working with our new colleagues around the firm to further expand its reach in Latin America.”
