Chris Zentz joined Akerman as a partner in its corporate practice group, the firm announced Wednesday.
Zentz represents utilities, independent power producers, and renewable energy developers in transactional matters and regulatory proceedings before federal, state, and local regulators, the firm said. His practice includes developing renewable resources and negotiating deals related to power, transmission, and storage assets. He also works with securing market-based rate approvals from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and advises clients on compliance with federal law.
He joins from Steptoe.
