Akerman Nabs Florida Boutique in AI Liability Litigation Push

Akerman poached the bulk of a Fort Lauderdale boutique, including litigators focused on advising other lawyers about the risk of artificial intelligence.

Eight lawyers from Keller Landsberg PA are joining Akerman, the firm said Tuesday. The haul includes partners David Keller, Elizabeth Izquierdo, and Maria Priovolos-Gonzalez.

The group, which will be based in Akerman’s Fort Lauderdale and Miami offices, is expected to boost the firm’s liability litigation capabilities and work for insurance clients like Allstate and Zurich North America. Keller expects an uptick this year in claims related to litigation disputes, corporate work, trusts and estates, and cybersecurity.
