Akerman Made a $45 Million Contract Error, Says Investor Client

Akerman owes more than $45 million for botching real estate contracts for its client, Turner Impact Capital, the investment group alleges in a malpractice complaint filed in Florida state court Monday.

The global law firm muffed review of a draft lease agreement that Turner’s “impact-investing” health-care fund used to enter into real estate contracts with senior care facilities operator CareMax, Inc. the complaint, filed in Florida’s Eleventh Judicial Circuit, said.
