Akerman LLP is the latest law firm to expand its geographic reach to take advantage of the burgeoning energy and infrastructure sectors.
The firm announced a new office in Charlotte, North Carolina, which aims to strengthen the firm’s capabilities in areas including data center infrastructure, renewable energy, electric vehicle infrastructure and telecommunications.
When deciding whether to invest in a new office, the firm looked at proven success in the region, said Scott Meyers, chairman and CEO of Akerman in an interview.
