Akerman Adds 5 Partners in L.A.

The Florida-based law firm Akerman is expanding in Los Angeles with the hire of five real estate partners.

The Daily Journal in Los Angeles reports that the move will expand the roughly 660-lawyer firm’s L.A. office to 24 attorneys.

The transactions and trial law firm, which handles mergers and acquisitions within the financial services and real estate industries, has acquired from Gresham Savage land use partners Ellen Berkowitz, Lisa Kolieb, and Brady McShane, as well as senior urban planner Ellen Castillo.
