ADM Sees Profits at Low End of Guidance on Trade Uncertainty (2)

Archer-Daniels-Midland Co. said earnings this year will be at the lower end of its guidance as a difficult crop trading market is complicated by mounting trade and biofuel policy uncertainty.

The eroding outlook comes as the crop trader and processor reported its lowest quarterly profit since early 2020. Adjusted earnings for the first three months of 2025 slumped 52% from a year earlier to 70 cents a share, the company said in a statement.

However, the result beat the 66-cent average of estimates compiled by Bloomberg, and the company saw improvement in its nutrition unit. ADM shares rose 2.3% ...
