ANALYSIS: Where AI Deal Terms Are Emerging in M&A Agreements (1)

Mentions of artificial intelligence in M&A agreements have surged in the last several years. And given the growing number of AI-related deals, 2024 could see twice as many deal terms that mention AI than in any previous year.

Year to date, 73 clauses in publicly filed M&A deals have included the term “artificial intelligence,” according to analysis of Bloomberg Law’s Transactional Precedent Search tool.

And this year is on track to double the number of mentions seen in each of the last three years, which hovered around the mid-50s.
