ANALYSIS: Uyghur Forced Labor Law Impacts China–US Supply Chains

Be prepared to review your supply chain requirements next week. That’s when a new US law placing additional requirements on imports from Xinjiang, China, goes into effect.

Under the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act, certain goods will be presumed to have been produced with forced labor and won’t be allowed into the United States. One possible fallout could be that imports from Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region grind to a temporary halt.
