ANALYSIS: Texas Tumbles Taking on Transgender Care Providers

Texas is the first state to sue doctors for allegedly violating minor gender-affirming care bans. Yet the cases are off to a weak start and are a lesson for other states considering bringing similar cases on what not to do.

Texas’ arguments in two complaints filed in October are inconsistent with the cited state law and rely on conclusions with little proof that the doctors are actually providing gender-affirming care.
