Some legal tech companies and investors must be thinking: “What recession?” The second quarter of 2020 saw $178 million in investment in legal tech companies, beating last year’s Q2 total of $122 million despite the Covid-related economic crisis.
Legal tech companies have received $339 million in investment so far this year, according to data compiled by Bloomberg Law.
Although 2020 is so far slower overall than last year, legal tech investment has not experienced a steep drop-off—a reflection that this is a niche market in which investors must still be feeling some optimism.
