Women’s employment in legal occupations in the final quarter of 2024 was the strongest that it has been in two years, although Q4’s overall employment for US workers in all legal occupations fell slightly, according to data compiled from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Women held 1.03 million jobs in the legal industry in Q4 2024, up from 993,300 in Q3. That’s the highest total employment since Q4 2022 (1.04 million). The 4% quarterly increase in women’s employment in legal jobs was also the highest since Q4 2022 (11%).
