Harvard Ordered to End DEI as Part of Trump Funding Ultimatum

The Trump administration is ratcheting up pressure on Harvard University with a list of demands including the elimination of diversity, equity and inclusion programs, days after threatening to end as much as $9 billion in federal funding for the school.

The government also called for scrapping any hiring preferences based on race or national origin, adopting a broad ban on masks and adding oversight for “biased programs that fuel antisemitism.” In addition, it outlined governance and leadership reforms, including empowering faculty and administrators committed to implementing changes.
