A federal judge in Montana has ordered former Yellowstone Club co-owner Tim Blixseth to pay nearly $14 million for selling a high-end Mexican resort, finding that Blixseth sold the property despite a bankruptcy court injunction against liquidating his assets (Yellowstone Mountain Club v. Blixseth, D. Mont., No. 2:13-cv-00068).
U.S. District Judge Sam Haddon on Feb. 3 ordered the co-founder of the exclusive club near Yellowstone National Park to either pay the $13.8 million sale price for the resort property or pay the value of it at the time of sale in April 2011, whichever amount is greater.
