Yellow’s Ex-Employees Get Class Certified Amid Bankruptcy

Yellow Corp. employees who say they were improperly laid off before the company’s bankruptcy can proceed with a class action suit, a judge said.

A group of former employees allege they weren’t given a legally required 60-day notice that they would be terminated in a mass layoff. Labor and pension disputes have been central to Yellow’s bankruptcy, which was filed last summer after it abruptly dismissed about 30,000 workers and ceased operating.
