Yellow Nets Court Approval for Most Pension Withdrawal Deals (1)

Bankrupt trucking company Yellow Corp. won court approval of most, but not all, of its settlements with multiemployer pension plans in a closely watched ruling over billions of dollars in disputed withdrawal liability claims.

Judge Craig T. Goldblatt of the US Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware issued his decision in a Thursday opinion. He signed off on all of the proposed deals except for those with the New York Teamsters, Local 617, and Local 1730 pension funds.
