A group of senior care residents holding wrongful death and personal injury claims are pushing to continue lawsuits against affiliates and insiders of bankrupt Genesis Healthcare Inc.
Nonbankrupt business units and individuals can’t use Genesis’ bankruptcy litigation pause to protect themselves against tort suits alleging severe neglect, the claimants argued in an Aug. 22 motion in the US Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas.
