Two actresses who accused disgraced film mogul Harvey Weinstein of sexual assault asked a judge to force his bankrupt entertainment company and its affiliates to be liquidated rather than reorganize under Chapter 11.
Converting the cases, filed under The Weinstein Company Holdings LLC, to a Chapter 7 liquidation would allow a trustee to handle them “more efficiently and effectively,” Wedil David and Dominique Huett said in their filing Tuesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
Case administration would include handling outstanding litigation against directors and officers.
