Washington Casino Maverick Moves to Sell Casinos in Bankruptcy

Maverick Gaming, a Washington-based casino and card-room operator, selected a string of casino managers and lenders to purchase assets in its bankruptcy case.

The company plans to sell major casinos, hotels, and gaming software to multiple buyers for about $65.8 million total, most of which comes from a credit bid from lenders. The price also includes some cash and the assumption of promissory notes, according to a notice filed Wednesday in the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.

The sales are subject to court approval.
