Warner Bros May Prefer Smaller Asset Sale Instead of Split: FT

Warner Bros Discovery’s is looking to offload smaller assets in a bid to avoid a break up of the company, Financial Times reports, citing two unidentified people familiar with the matter.

  • Considering offers to sell Polish broadcaster TVN or a stake in Warner’s video games business, which holds intellectual property to Harry Potter games
  • Chief executive David Zaslav and chief financial officer Gunnar Wiedenfels determined fencing off streaming, studio businesses was not the best option at this time
  • Company spokesperson declined to comment to FT
